Who We Are

We’re DC and LC.  LC has a Master’s in Public Health, so she knows ALL about healthy eating.  DC has a digital media background… which has NADA to do with food… but he loves to cook and chow down with the best of ’em.  Together, we embark on fun food adventures and share them with you here at Two For A Chew.

About DC

As a southern gent/ex-military brat, I am a product of downhome cookin’ and international fare.  My palate yearns for savory, spicy, cheesy, melty, and exotic flavors… mmmm… sizzle my skillet!



Favorite Guilty Treat: Mac and Cheese… and not from the blue box… BAKED and OOZING with cheese! YUM!

Favorite Healthy Eat: Spinach! Whether it’s sautéed with a little toasted garlic and lemon, or in a fresh spin salad, ooh la la… j’adore ça!

Favorite Thing to Cook: Lasagna… though it is a dish of many steps, the deliciousness is well worth the labor!  I also make a pretty mean omelette; ask anybody!

Favorite Libation:  Spanish or Chilean wine, por favor!



About LC

Ever the pursuer of a healthy lifestyle, I am always on the lookout for the right meal to satisfy my need for flavor, spice and heat… without breaking the calorie bank!  Understanding the challenges of making good food choices at restaurants, I’ve decided to put my Master in Public Health and certification in health education to work!  In 2014, I will be on the front lines navigating restaurant menus to find the yummy, flavorful, and sometimes spicy options that won’t make you regret eating out!

elsepizzaFavorite Guilty Treat: I’m a sucker for pizza!  As a native New Yorker, I pride myself on having a refined pizza palate.  I load my slice up with veggies, light cheese and extra sauce! Yum.

Favorite Healthy Eat: What can I say?  We BOTH love spinach.  I can eat it every day of my life.  Whether I use it as the fiber in my smoothie or the base of my salad, this green nutritional powerhouse is a staple in my fridge.

Favorite Thing to Cook:  It’s no secret, I love cooking Italian and Mexican cuisine.  I take traditional recipes and put a healthy, delightful twist on ‘em; Zucchini Pasta or Fresh Burrito Bowl, anyone?  Dinner is served!

Drink of Choice:  In my humble opinion, wine is the perfect accompaniment to any and every dish!  Pour me an Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon and I’m your best friend for life!
